The ALL STATE MUSICAL cast will collaborate with Broadway artists Barry Busby and Leslie Flesner to rehearse and premiere this year's spectacular Closing Ceremonies production before thousands of fellow Thespians in Corpus Christi and Grapevine.
The ALL STATE PLAY cast and crew will rehearse and perform a brand-new, 30-minute production under the expert guidance of seasoned directors from across the state.
The ALL STATE STUDENT TECHNICIANS will also participate in the productions through the areas of sound & microphone operators, lighting designers and lightboard operators and production management.
How to Audition
1. Sign up in registration for the audition ($20 fee per student). This fee is non-refundable, even if not selected to perform in the cast.
2. Submit your audition materials by October 5, 2026 if you want to be considered for a speaking role or a solo in either production. Students submitting after October 5 will still be considered for the Texas Thespians All-State Musical and Play ensemble through the final audition deadline of October 19, 2026.
3. All applications, including technician applications, must be submitted by October 19, 2026.
4. All selected students must attend pre-festival zooms on:
A. Sunday, Oct 25th from 7-10pm (All students and *their High School teachers* must attend)
B. Nov 1 from 7-10pm (all students must attend)
C. Nov 8 from 7-10pm (all students must attend)
4. Students who are cast (performers and technicans) must be available for all of the scheduled rehearsals including the pre-festival rehearsals (on Google Meet) as well as all in-person rehearsals at State Festival.
